Reach Digital Technologies:
Key Learning Areas
Students are assessed across the following key learning areas:
- Digital systems: understand and recognise hardware, software, operating systems, cloud computing, and data representation
- Word processing: use basic and advanced operations in word processing, including formatting, tables, style sheets, animations, and referencing
- Graphics and multimedia: create presentations; use multimedia applications and data visualisation
- Internet use and email programs: use search engines, emails, social media, and online collaboration; apply social and ethical protocols and practices in the use of digital technologies
- Spreadsheets and databases: understand the functions of spreadsheets and databases; use tools like formatting, formulae, and filters to manage information
- Programming: understand basic principles and concepts of programming, including block-based coding, flowcharts, sequence, loops, pseudocode, and algorithms
